Hillboy-Huffy Hand-Forged Knives

     My knives are hand-forged, quenched and tempered, consistent with mid-1800's knife works.  These knives are similar to what you would have bought from a blacksmith or muzzleloader gunsmith in that time-frame.

     They are made from high carbon steel.  THEY WILL RUST.  Any surface rust can be removed with very fine sandpaper.  Oiling the blade or applying a light coat of grease for long storage will prevent rust.

     With proper care, my knives will provide a lifetime of service.  However, they are not idiot-proof and if abused, even these knives could be broken or damaged.

This set is an historic representation of a whaling era sailor's sheepfoot and marlin spike in a leather sheath, typically worn around the neck of the sailor so their hands were free while working high above the deck of the ship.
